    Please someone help......

I am running Wmillenium with Outlook express 5 and have been doing so for over a year. PC within a DOMAIN network and no software install/deinstall, no files deleted and all of the support done by myself. No temp file deleted or such like.
Tried to untick the MSNmessenger option within the tools/option dialog box, but the msn icon appears regardless.
I have gone through the option of changing the above mentioned dll, as requested from the windows web site, but this has not resolved the issue either.
Ran the fix, again from the website and still to no avail.
I have also this problem that when this occures, the inbox shows an error and it states that I have ran out of memory.
However, it seems that I have no IRQ conflicts and I have no other related memory problems.
I have reinstalled outlook, upgraded outlook to version 6, but it would not take the install, at all. No error message, but it reverted back to version 5.
I am also a bit concerned as it may have some sort of security issue, but anti-virus software does not find anything (just thought I would check on this matter)

I am running out of options now so could you advise?

    Thank you

    Welcome to the boards!
When you say that the antivirus didn't find anything, did you try a free online scanner such as Housecall ?
Any chance that you have a lot of emails saved up in your deleted box?

I use sophos anti-virus, company wide with savagent, but ensuring that all users scanning their system.
I will try to rename the folder.dbx
and yes, there are several emails in delete box and I have asked the user to delete their emails, but unfortunately it does not allow the user to access their emails, at all.

I'm pretty sure WhitPhil's already nailed it for you. Post back how it goes for you?
