I drive a semi truck, and I want to play DVD movies on an old XP laptop.
WMP gives me an error message. I downloaded Klite 7.7.0 basic and installed. The error message went away I had sound but no video. I installed instacode (free) that did help.
I tried VLC that didn’t work. Is their something I can do to get a DVD to play on this machine

Hi John32073. You need to download the K Lite Codec Pack Mega in order to get DVD playback. The basic version does not include a codec for DVD playback.

Uninstall all other codec packs and then install this version. Then you can use Windows Media Player to play your DVD's.
