I am wanting to use Process Explorer to be as useful as possible and to do that I think that I need a "Dummies" like introduction to handles, threads, PIDS and all the other great troubleshooting stuff it shows. I have found the authors introductory video and books but they are more than a few feet above my head.

Any suggestions for learning resource for someone who is a novice in Windows system internals. I am looking more for gaining the knowledge that I need to use in Process Explorer as opposed to the mechanics of how you point and click inside it.

    Thanks very much,
    Jim Lee

    Hi Jim,
You're welcome. There's a lot to learn for a novice.
Also ,do some digging around on Technet - lots of interesting stuff.
Here's something for developers, but I scout around there too for some interesting stuff

There are a lot of resources on the web.
If I find some more re windows processes etc ,I'll post it.

    Pete.
