This annoying problem began when I installed HiSuite which is a Program supplied by Huawei for the Ideos U8150 Smartphone.
I've opened > Tools > Settings and made sure there was no tick in > Launch at Startup.
I've gone into 'msconfig' and unchecked any references to HiSuite or Huawei.
I emailed Huawei and all they advised was to carry out Tools/Settings check.

I've uninstalled this Program 3 times and Downloaded 2 fresh copies and it still starts automatically at Startup.

I must be missing something as frustration is at a high level. If anyone has had any experience with this Software, I'm open to guidance.
I'm using Vista Business SP2 and the comp recognizes the Smartphone when I plug it in via USB. The phone battery will recharge whilst connected.

I can't find anything in the Android Forums about this. Neil.:confused::mad:

I hope it's the right Forum for this?

Hi Neil. I've never heard of or used that program before. But what I do know is that one thing that I've learned while running Windows Vista/7 is that not every program will be listed in the msconfig utility. One utility that I have found that willl list just about every startup program is Autoruns.

I would download it, run the autoruns.exe program as an administrator and see if it shows up there. When you open the program click the logon tab to view all startup items.

If the entry is not showing up in autoruns then perhaps that program is installed as a service in Windows. Click Start< Run and type services.msc and click Ok. Once the service window opens look for any service thats related to HiSuite.

The program has to be starting from somewhere. It won't just startup on its own.

Thanks Evan, it worked a treat. I've done several comp starts and run the Hi Suite program (including using it to install Swype), closed and Restarted comp and it's back to normal.:D

The Swype software for Android makes it easier to use the keyboard.

Once again, many thanks for Autoruns. Neil.
