I have picked up a copy of the Freeserve offer of 1 month free usage. However after starting to register with them I decided to defer my application until after Christmas(for available time reasons). I did not register online but cancelled my application. Various files were created which I have deleted but Freeserve is still causing problems when I go into Outlook Express. It asks for my password to pop.freeserve.com which I ignore but then it gives an error message which I also ignore. It also seems to take longer as it is looking for incoming e-mails in Freeserve. How can I get Freeserve out of my system???

Ken Nelson--I know nothing about Freeserve, specifically, but how did you "delete" the Freeserve files after you decided not to register? Did you use Add/Remove Programs or perhaps an Uninstall file in the Freeserve folder?
If you just deleted files, that could be the problem. In that case, reinstall Freeserve and then see if you can uninstall (not delete) per the first sentence.
If Freeserve offers no Uninstall option, you will probably have to go into the Registry and do a Edit|Find for Freeserve, deleting each key you find (just keep hitting F3 after you find and delete one). Back up your Registry in case you need to restore.
Or you could see if the Freeserve account is listed in OE Tools|Accounts|Mail tab. If so, highlight it and click Remove.
