How many horrible cases have you seen/worked on/owned?

This is the case for my P4 machine, and yes, the PSU panel that faces the CPU is solid, and it was on the old one - and I wouldn't want waste heat dumped in my PSU anyway... it also causes the cables to be very, very messy.

    This is that case.

I detest all OEM cases, especially HP/Compaq.

    Ditto here.

OEM's make their cases for minimum amount of upgradation & space. You can't even put 2nd hard disk in many cases & are stuck with OEM power supply.

Very valid point about OEM cases, particularly older OEM cases can be a real pain from Dell as well (with their own unique power supplies).

Depends on which PC you get from an OEM. I have a Dell that is about 3 years old. Plenty of room. I added a second HD and put Win 7 on it. The original HD has XP on it. I could add another couple of HD internal if I wanted to. It is a Vostro 200.

I do agree that most are a PITA to do anything with.

Why do the panels behind the plastic drive bay covers always slice my hands? Just got heavily cut by mine :L
