I am finding many problems with the new 'pushed' Adobe 10 player...in IE9. It say's Adobe doesn't have a 64-bit/Win7 viewer yet, but it insists on pushing it for; CNN, YouTube, and any/all video sites. Anybody else seeing this?

I don't know about the "pushing" but I'm running Win7 Home Premium 64-bit, IE9 with Flash Player 10-point-something without any problems.

I do use Firefox as my default browser, though, and it has no problems with Flash 10-point-something either.

    thanks

Thanks, and Firefox runs fine on mine as well. I think somebody's been in the hot-seat to get the matter resolved ASAP...but when I just now tried to view a video on CNN (or YouTube), it's prompts me that I need to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player; when I click to do so Adobe say's, "!0.3 is currently not available for IE9 64-bit "...and asks if I want to update to the new beta...etc. Anyway, thanks, Firefox is working fine.

TonyT,,,if this is the answer, then why is "Adobe" telling me it doesn't have one? I'm using 10.3.181.26 but it still say's I need to upgrade. Anyway, I'll get it fixed.

The link is to Flasher Player 11 Beta.

Adobe is not telling you to upgrade players when you visit a site with embedded Flash content. When Flash is used at a site, the HTML code of the page may or may not include code that detects your Flash version, and also may include code that throws out a prompt telling you something like, "Your version of Flash Player is outdated, please upgrade" or other similar prompts.

Your best option would be to run the 32 bit version of the browser and you won't get prompts for 64bit Flash.

There is NO noticeable speed difference between 32 & 64 bit Web browsers.
