Spell check disappeared in OE

Two threads in one posting? Is this allowed. Well here goes anyway. I've lost my spell check in Outlook Express. Can anyone help me find it? It's just not there! Thanks for any help.

 

There are a couple possibilities Mitch.

The first thing to consider is, OE depends on you having a MS program installed that has spell checker as part of its regular features. Have you had such and removed it? (Word, MsWorks?) If you have a program like that, does spell checker still work in it? If not reload that software and your OE will likely be ok.

The second possibility deals with missing .dll files. Please see this MSKB Article for further information.

Mitch--This "fix" will probably put a spell checker back into OE although it does not explain how you lost it in the first place.
