getting a key for Windows

    I can't get a reply from Microsoft. I purchased Windows XP Pro (oem) and it installed fine. I had to replace my mother board and reformat my hard drive and now my key is not accepted. Advise?

    If I understand the question correctly, you need a new activation code. You'll have to call Microsoft...they won't email this information.

    Those who have gone through this procedure report it's painless and takes little time. Just tell them the truth (you've replaced the motherboard) and they'll give you a new activation code.
