I have followed all of Evans steps and cleaned out my computer as much as I can.

I also agree with rsinfo about relocating programs. It would make sense if I was desperate for space but I have another drive and enough money to just purchase another hard drive.

160g simply isnt enough. But that's not a problem anymore if you say that 2nd 160g drive is usable. What's the best way to go about formatting that drive.

Also is there any significant gains from overclocking my processor or graphics card. They are pretty good quality I wouldn't mind clocking them a bit.

Just initialise the drive, format it and mount it by giving some letter like D:. That's it to formatting.

You should move all your libraries [Documents/Pictures etc.],mail to the new drive. That should free up quite a bit of space on C drive.

Overclocking processor needs a board that support overclocking. Most of AMD's CPU can't be overclocked beyond 4-5% even with the best of boards [my son's machine seems to be an exception. He is currently using X3 as X4 at around 8% overclock.]

Formatting the drive right now. Will move files to the other drive to free up space in the C drive.

What about overclocking the graphics card?

With overclocking your graphics card or processor you really need to make sure that your computer is very stable. When you overclock those components they will generate more heat so you should make sure there is no dust or dirt in the computer case as more dust will cause the components to reach higher temperatures.

Since you will be doing a bit of overclocking its very important that you monitor your systems temperatures. A program that I use for this task is Open Hardware Monitor.

    Here you go, NVIDIA nTune.

For your processor you can see if there are any settings in the BIOS to increase the MHz of the Front Side Bus which will in effect overclock your processor.

Whenever you overclock a component make sure you adjust the settings in tiny increments, reboot the system and test it before adjusting the settings to higher values.
