I had to get into the Safe Mode (with Networking) with my Windows XP Professional desktop computer to fix my computer's crashing right after boot-up. But being unable to get into Safe Mode by using F8, I had to resort to Start>Run>msconfig>boot.ini to attain Safe Mode. Now that I am finished with that task, I tried to use the same set of steps to unckeck Safe Mode and so get back to normal operation. But -- I cannot reach the "Run" command. Reason - after clicking on Start, the (right-click) Start menu has a physical size in Safe Mode which is physically larger than my monitor display, cutting off the lowest item, which is "Run ". I have spent hours trying to find an alternative "Run ", without any results. I am stuck in Safe Mode and cannot get out. Your help will be much appreciated. ;)

Just shut down or restart from the Start Button. It will boot into normal mode next time.

Sorry MrBill, I tried this. It will not work if Safe Mode has been initiated by way of msconfig from Start. I forgot to add in my first post that under "Advanced ", I did check the box for "Run Command" for the Start dialog box. The problem is, that "Run" is physically cut off from the display and therefore not reachable.

MrBill, CharleyDog wants to boot into Normal mode & not into Safe Mode.

Did you save a copy of the original Boot.ini file ? If you did, just boot from a Live Linux CD & copy the file back. If you didn't, you can copy the file from another XP computer.

Press the WinKey+R on your keyboard to open the run dialog box.

You can also open Task manager and run from there.

I tried TonyT's advice, and it worked. Thank you very much. I didn't get to try Arie and MrBill's suggestions, but I am certain that they would have worked also.
Anyway, I would like to thank all of you to conclude this issue.
