I recently purchased a Lenova notebook PC and have been using it on mains power ever since.

The battery charged up the first time I used it and an icon on the 'tray' stated that it was 100% 'full'. Ever since then (always using it connected to mains power) the icon has slowly been reducing from 100% (full) to 99%, 97% and now 96% yet it also states that it is NOT charging.

Any ideas why it would not be charging and is very slowly loosing charge.
Does it only start to (re)charge once the battery is discharged to a particular point eg 90%.

It is a bit worrying as I am just about to go overseas.

For grins - run it off the battery and let it get down to 50% then plug in the ac cord to see if its starts charging.

After 'poking around' (the notebook system) I found 'power manager' and once opened I found that it had been set so that charging only takes place once the battery gets under 96% 'full'.
    So the mystery is solved.
    Thanks for your reply.
