Resolved Computer won`t allow second drive setup

    Hello my computer won`t boot up with the primary drive as drive 1 but rather boots up with the second drive as the second slave drive .I have only 1 drive with xp sp3 installed and the computer will not let me set this drive up as the primary drive but always as the slave drive.

    Chances are the drive jumper settings are incorrect.

    Some BIOS also have the option to select the hard disk from which to boot. Check there too.
