Resolved Eudora unable to access email from Charter

I have my internet service through Charter Cable. I use Eudora to access my email. I have the latest version (7.1.0.9-Sponsored mode, not registered). Lately, when trying to access my email, after about 3-4 minutes, I get an error message from Eudora saying it is "tired of waiting on server ". However, I can go to charter.net and retrieve my mail. Wife, and I, have always perferred Eudora over Charter email service.

I went to Eudora forums, the "unable to check or send email after latest Norton update" dates to 2006. I did some google searches but came up empty. Any suggestions? Is it Charter or Eudora?

Well, sometimes the easiest solution is least obvious, at least to me. Tried turning off Norton's for a few minutes just to check. Didn't solve the problem, but when I went to reset Norton's the computer lock up. Rebooted and guess what? Now I can download through Eudora.
