    HI,

I'm working remotely and have a problem of the Remote Desktop (RD) connection frequently hanging. I can log in to RD fine, but during use it will become unresponsive

coworker and myself are both working on the same LAN, both remotely accessing our respective host computers on the host LAN

Both at the same time? If so, that could cause slows or issues.
If not, you could try setting QoS in the router.

    Hi

Try if possible to use the same network hardware on the machine which is having problems. Have you tried switch the kit over?
Eliminate the the cables, the network port as far as possible. The problem looks at first to be local to to the PC/Lptop which is losing it. Especially if the other one carries on working. If you have another PC/ or laptop and can use it at the same troubled location then switch it to the troublefree location and see what result you get.
Does any other 'network' connected activity replicate or give you the same/similar problems viz Internet Email downloads etc?
