The bottom of my FF 5.0 screen is filled up with icons of the most recent downloads. I had been told that one of the add-ons is causing the problem. I routinely disabled all of the add-ons with no change.
I have also noticed that under "Tools" the dropdown dialog shows 2 bars for "Options" both of which are the same options.

I really don't care about the 2 "Options ", but all the icons take up screen space and are a PIA.

I never saw anything like you describe.
. I don't even understand what you mean by that.
What are your Settings, in Tools|Options|Privacy? I have everything checked to clear on closing. Otherwise, I don't understand the question/problem.

    This may be resolved!?

I made a change in my Privacy settings and selected Customize History. I then selected remember History only.
After I closed FF, the Icons were gone upon restarting it. I did notice, however, that now only today's History remains. I am hoping that it will rebuild the history over time.
My assumption is that this change occurred when I updated to 5.0, but I didn't notice it.
Thanks for the hints. I'll report later if this works out.

    View > Toolbars > uncheck Add-On bar

Already unchecked. The problem with icons at the bottom is resolved. BUT there are still 2 "Options" bars in the "Tools" drop down. Downloads, Add ons, Setup Sync, OPTIONS, Error Console, AtD Preferences, Web Console, Page Info, Start Private Browsing, Clear Recent History, OPTIONS.

Not a big issue since it doesn't "seem" to be causing a problem. I just like to know why things change for no clear reason, I guess.

    Thanks again.

Probably dual Options listing is caused by some Add-on. AtD Preferences is not a default listing & must refer to an Add-on.
