FTP authentication using AD

Sir,
I have a windows server 2003 configured for FTP. In this server AD is not configured but is connected to a domain ( AD configured on another server). I want to allow the domain users as the same AD authentication to my FTP server. I made a Local Group in my FTP server and add users of the domain. Then given permissions to the FTP, but it is not working. It is allowing only local users configured in my FTP server. Can anybody help me

Try giving access permissions to the domain to connect to the server, not the other way round.
(However it is a bit risky)
