Why do I get an error message from my thunderbird email, saying that my connection is timed out? It shows I have 5 new emails, but won't download them. I've noticed that video clips take a long time to download. It runs like 30 to 40 seconds, then shows "connection to Server timed out!

May be a bad e-mail on the server. Can you get to the e-mail on your server and delete it, or move it to another flolder so that it won't try to download it, then try downloading the others again. That is usually the problem when you have the problem you describe. That happens in all versions of e-mails that you download to your PC. Like Outlook, OE, etc.

I tend to agree with MrBill, if the problem with the video is also with the e-mails.
The way the question is presented is confusing, because it appears that one e-mail prevents the download of the others, but where is the video? In an e-mail, previously, downloaded. I can't visualize the question, at all.

I was sent a 20,000 kb pdf file. It won't download, too large I expect. The video's I mentioned weren't as large. They finally downloaded, but took forever. I did download the file from the Cox web site. I haven't tried to delete it from Thunderbird. I need to save it to Word first. It's a 150 pages long. It's an Owners Manual for a Ac unit I bought on Craigs list.

How do I delete it off the server, if it won't download?

Log into your ISP's web mail. That is how you delete it. Who is your ISP?

You are quite welcome. If you are ever away from your PC and you want to check your mail, you can do it that way from any PC.

By the way, Cox is, also, my ISP, but I, never, tried to download a file that large.
For the heck of it, could you enter the link, which, apparently, you still have in Thunderbird.
