Hi all, I am using a new operating system (Win 7) and I use Seamonkey for my browser.

I have been trying to find out if the title boxes for the icons on the desktop can be made opaque with a choice of color. This was a feature in my previous OS (WinXP).

I have searched the web and did not find an answer one way or the other. I have a feeling it can't be done.

Has anyone been successful making the title boxes un-transparent?

    Thank you, TRoof

    Hi troof,

There isn't anyway (that I know of) to do this in windows 7 itself however, you could try iconiod. I haven't tried it myself but it appears to do what you want and more.

Let us know if this helps.

Hi Wildfire, Iconoid was just what I was looking for. Downloaded the zip file to a new folder on my DT and ran the setup app. I got the error message that it could only run on windows archiecture x86 and that is as far as it will go.

My win7 is 64 bit. Have I been 86ed from iconoid?

    Thanks, TRoof

    No :)

Look at their download page, read it then look for the 64bit version at the bottom :)

That did the trick. How did you know about Iconoid?

My apologies for my haste. I didn't bother to read further down the page. Just went with the zip file full speed ahead.

Hope more people read this. This means you Bill Gates. Very good fix.
    Thank you Wildfire. TRoof

Google is your friend ;) It's just a case of choosing the correct search parameters.

No problem, at least you got it sorted :)
