    Here are my system specs:

    AMD phenom II X4 955
Processor: 3.21 GHz, 7.99 GB of RAM
    2 hard disk 300 GB in RAID0
    8 GB of RAM
    radeon HD 4870X2 2GB
System: windows XP pro x64, SP2

My computer is used 99% for games and since new games start to switch to DX10 or over, I plan to switch to win7 perhaps near the end of this year. What win7 do you suggest to buy ? :)

Thank you Steve. I would incline towards Home Premium but have a question about the feature it doesn't have "Licensed Windows XP Mode ". Does it mean that Home Premium can't run games for XP?

If you already have XP then there's nothing to stop you dual booting XP/7 Home premium or running XP in a virtual machine similar to what 7 pro/ultimate do.

Obviously your license must be valid (eg don't try to use an OEM on another system etc)

XP Mode is the free Virtual PC that allows you to run XP in its own window inside Windows 7.
