I've seen this resolved but for the life of me I can't find the solution.

Watching NASA TV (winxp) with media player add-in on web page and wanted to run the presentation as a stand-alone player. I mistakenly clicked the wrong answer to the dialog box that popped up ( left "don't ask me again" turned on) and now I can't get media player to start from a web page as stand-alone.

I've searched the registry in hopes of finding an item relating to this but to no avail.

Any suggestions to how I get back to sqaure one with this?

    In IE,
View, Explorer Bar, Media, Media Options at the bottom.

    Been there, done that.

That's what's so odd. I thought by turning off "play web media in the bar" I'd get back to a prompt to either play as a stand-alone or in the bar.

I've narrowed it down to an issue with the Media Player so simply reinstalled.
