On XP it gives you the option of checking the disc for defragmentation and after the check it simply reported wether the disc needed defragmenting or not.
On Win7, it reads as "0% fragmented" before you do a defrag check, and after it checks it , it still reads "0% fragmented"
On XP, after it defragged the disc it reported that the disc has in fact been defragged.
On Win7 it simply reads "0% fragmented"
Can someone please interpret what "0% fragmented actually means "?
    I thank you in anticipation

0% fragmented means exactly that, there is no fragmentation therefore there is nothing to do.

    What's the issue:confused:

The issue is/was. No one had explained what the stupid term "0% fragmented " meant;)

How often is it set to defrag? To me Monthly or less is way to much. Unless you do a lot of uninstalling and reinstalling of different programs.

I only do a check on it around every 3 months. I only wanted to know the meaning of the term "0% fragmented ". I am sure a lot of other Win7 users who came over from XP do not have any idea either.
Now, thanks to Wildfire, I know what it means.
Although his answer could have done without the "What's the issue??" comment which I personally found quite rude.

I find nothing rude with the "What's the issue ". I take it as they wanted to know if there was an issue of some sort.

    Hi Jerry,

I wasn't being rude, quite often on these boards members ask what appears to be innocuous questions which later turn out to have fairly serious underlying problems.

I was only asking if anything was wrong with your system.

I was happy to help anyway :)

I know what it is set for. I was just saying that in my opinion, Monthly is way to much...
