    Hello,
I tryied to reinstall Vista on my Zepto and it just stops after the message "copying new files" has appeared.. A blue screen appears with the message program stopped for avoiding hardware damages, and thats it...:(
I have formatted the drive before trying the reinstall. Is it possible I have deleted some kind of a control key?
I hope somebody can help me, Im really stucked on this one!
    Thank you!

    P.S:
The Vista version I am trying to reinstall is of course the OEM version that followed with this Zepto A15 laptop.

Hello Arie, Here is the error code:

Look like a hardware problem to me. Stop 0x0000001E messages are often the result of invalid memory and access violations caused by faulty drivers or hardware devices.

Did you format the hard drive with the Vista install DVD?

Unfortunately no... :-( But this problem is not new for this Zepto model. There are other Nox A15 users around with the same problem, (and same error message)and I might have found a solution. Right now I can see the partition (unformatted) but I cant assign a drive letter to it!

Try this, when you are at the section to format the drive, choose to delete it. Then create a new drive and format it.

Question is, where are you seeing this partition from?

You can't assign a drive letter to an unformatted partition.

Hello Arie, the problem is solved. Vista is installed and runs fine. Dont close the thread, I want to write how I did it, so it can help other people with a similar problem.
But still a big thanks to you and Windows BBS for all the help you provide to us, poor users!

This is what you have to do if you are not able to reinstall the Zepto OEM Vista operative system on your Zepto notebook.

    1. Insert your install disk in your CD/DVD/Blue ray reader.
    2. Restart.
    3. When the boot logo is on screen, press the F12 key.
    4. Choose the drive where your installation disk is. (TSST Corp/Optiarc)
    5. When emulation mode is asked, press 0
    6. Choose repair the computer under options
    7. Choose command prompt
    8. Write diskpart – Press enter
    9. Write list disk – Press enter
    10. Write select disk 1- Press enter
    11. Write list partition – Press enter
    12. Write select partition 1 – Press enter
    13. Write clean – Press enter
    14. Write exit – Press enter
    15. Restart your computer
    16. When the boot logo is on screen, press the F12 key
    17. Choose the drive where your installation disk is. (TSST Corp/Optiarc)
    18. When emulation mode is asked, press 0
    19. After Vista has loaded its files, Choose Install Vista.
    20. Do not activate or format the drive! Just press Next.

The installation should now run smooth and painless… J
Mine didn’t, because somehow the Zepto keyboard would only use the Fn keys, and P was replaced with *. So I started with an XP Pro disk and went into the repair console.
From there I used Diskpart and everything ran fine…

This work fine with a Vista OEM disk, but I have read somewhre else that you can use the same procedure if you choose to install Win 7.
