Windows Vista laptop harddrive restore

hey I would like to install a new harddrive in my Acer laptop that's running window vista and has 1gig of ram, how do I go about restoring the laptop to orginal factory settings to when I first brought the computer.

Did it come with set of Disc or ask you to make them when you first got it? That would be how to do it by using them.
