I recently purchased a new mouse and keyboard set, the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 800, which comes with the Wireless Mouse 1000 and they share a single receiver. Although there is no fault with the actual mouse, a few programs no longer respond to the scroll wheel - examples being Football Manager 2011, Microsoft Access 2011 and even the Control Panel and half of the Explorer window (the left half). However, I know the scroll wheel itself is fine, as other programs, like Firefox, Windows Live Messenger 2011 and iTunes, scroll as normal. Perhaps the issue lies with the fact that the device is listed as a "HID-compliant mouse ", and has not had specific drivers added - unlike Windows 7, when I initially used the device, it installed specific drivers (not specific to the mouse, but it said something like Microsoft Wireless Mouse)? If this is the case, can someone point me to Windows Vista drivers that enable the full functionality? My previous Dell mouse had no issues, and I'm at a loss to understand why a fully-functional mouse is not being allowed to work as it should. Strangely, all the keyboard's extra keys are fully functional as well, despite it also being called a HID-compliant device (in this case, a keyboard)

Well, I've fixed it by installing the IntelliMouse software, which it probably said to do in the manual that I never read. xD
