I have a friend who just bought a computer running Win XP H/E.
I was trying to create some shortcuts on his task bar--IE: Internet Explorer, Outlook Express etc.
On my win 98 machine I was able to simply drag them from the desktop and COPY or CREATE SHORTCUT on the task bar.
With the XP it seems I'm not able to do that.
Can someone please tell me how to do that?
    Thank you, Paul 43:confused:

Right click on task bar and go to Toolbars > Quick launch.

Thank you Dad. I'll give it a try next time I'm over his house.

And make sure the taskbar isn't locked. Can't make any changes when it is.

Newt, what do you mean by a locked taskbar. I've never heard that term before.
And also how do you know if it is locked and if it is how do you unlock it.
    Thanks, Paul

When you right click on the task bar you will see the option to Lock the Taskbar.
