Does Windows 7 have built-in anti-virus, anti-spyware protection? Thank you. Stang

Minimal protection. I suggest using Microsoft Security Essentials, it's free and integrates very well with Windows 7, is unobtrusive and does the job.

I would also suggest installing the free version of Malwarebytes Antimalware. The free version does not auto-protect but when run it can handle malware that other software may not detect.
