For some reason, the volume icon has gone missing. When I check the Notification Area Icons spot in the Control Panel, both the volume and the power icon use the same icon (Power) (Weird) and "Show icon and notifications is chosen." When I click "Turn System Icons On or Off" The volume icon is using the speaker icon but the place where I can turn it off/on is dimmed and cannot make the choice. I have tried the default but nothin changes. Please help. I use this icon a lot!!!!

    Thank you!

Do you have sound at all. If not, you may be missing a driver and that is the reason why it is grayed out.
