I have a question. Is it true that if I put 2 drives on the same IDE cable, 1 as master and 1 on slave, of course, that they both will run at the same speed as the slowest one? Example, if I have a WD 80 gig 7200 rpm Hard Drive on IDE channel 0 and a LG 40x CD-ROM drive as the slave on that same cable on IDE channel 1, does the slow speed of the CD-ROM hinder the speed of the Hard Disk? This may be a somewhat dumb question but I have read this a few places before and a gentlemen that owned a computer shop told me this. Thanks for the help.

No I don't think that is the case, I have my cd-rom and hard disk on the one cable and the hard disk does not run at 52 x 150 k/sec
