    Hi Allan

I don't think you can change the background color of a command button. However you can work around this by creating a picture in MS Paint of the approximate size of the button you want and of the color you want, add the text in Paint, save as a bmp file, then when creating your button using the Command Button wizard, in the step where it asks for text or picture on the button, select picture, browse to your bmp file and click next, then finish. Should fill in the grey button with your color picture.

There may be a problem with this if the DB is moved to another computer as it may need to read the bmp file from the directory where it was created. (not sure on this). To check this out I just deleted the bmp file in the directory it was stored in and it still showed up on the db form. So it seems that Access stores the picture within the database objects.

Somewhat confusing, eh! Maybe some others will have a few ideas??
