Still have no luck in getting a Vista DVD from the friend's network engineer husband..of course its my luck that he has gone on a biz trip OUT OF THE D@MN COUNTRY :(..Arrghh!! I am so very frustrated broni!

I do appreciate your having been patient with me throughout this process...

Is there anything that I am able to do??

I do NOT have a Vista DVD..nor do I have access to A Windows PC at this time either.. I am the only family member that lives within a 200 miles radius that even still owns a Windows PC{unfortunately my fam have all been sucked into all things "Apple" world..lol}..Don't get me wrong I love my Macbook as well as my Iphone but Its my personal opinion that Windows Vista still waaaaay outdoes the Mac OS{and yes I am told repeatedly that my opinion is insane and incorrect ..but again its just my opinion}..I love Windows Vista..of course a perfectly intact and running Windows V!sta And not a fouled-up OS that I presently am dealing with..lol..

Sorry to ramble on..lol..just as I said a bit on the overly frustrated side of moods these days where my poor little Gateway Laptop is concerned..I have never..ever experienced anything even similar in nature as to what I am presently experiencing..God!!!!!! I just never dreamed that my system could get so very effed up..FUBAR TOTALLY>>.lol

So broni do have any suggestions at all for me? I unfortunately have very little to work with..huh?..That's certainly how I feel..And of course this couldn't have happened at a more inopportune time as now..especially where funds are concerned..Just paid off an UN-expectedly came due without warning totally $11;458.00 CASH within the last 10 days.So moo-lah is definitely not something that I have at the moment..lol

As I said sorry for the ramble..:)

I feel your pain, but we have to have some tool(s) in order to try something.
Vista DVD seems to be the only option at this point :(

    I understand..

I was just browsing the microsoft website and stumbled upon where it said that there was actually a Save to USB option..meaning{or atleast what "I" took it to mean..lol} was that in "creating" A bootable CD like you stated previously was 1 of my 2 options{2 being to get my hands on an actual Vista DVD}..and I was unfortunately NOT ABLE to burn to a cd from my laptop{due to it having not worked waay before the virus thingy}..but I was wondering if this "Save to USB" was infact an option that I do believe that I could manage to do from my laptop..

Figured it couldn't hurt to inquire..as it did give my a heart a little flip-flop of hope when I read the above "USB" info on the microsoft.com site..

    Thanks so much:)

You'd have to check, if your BIOS support booting from USB drive.

ok here's a pic of my BIOS settings "Boot" Page{took via mobile then emailed to my laptop..downloaded and then attached to post}..amazing the ways around things when your "screenshot" doesn't work and yet you don't wanna hook your Iphone to a laptop thats still possibly infected{as it already zapped dead my Garmin gps}..

anyway am I correct in seeing that there is indeed a BIOS "USB" setting of which I can "boot" from?

OOops!! I see that this forum does not have an option to attach an image to my post..??Now what? Can I link you to a pic of it in my Picasa Web Albums??
