I'm new just today so hopefully I do this correctly.

I am using Win 7 with Mircrosoft office 2010. About a week ago I received a message indicating that Word could not create the work file and that I should check the temp environment varible. This problem occurs with both Word and Outlook

I search the BBS and discovered a similar problem back in Dec 09 dealing with Microsoft office 2007. The solution to that problem was to edit the
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Cache" ensuring that all varible values start with "%USERPROFILE%\ ".

I suspect that the solution is very similar but I am inexperienced in working with registry files and I wanted to see if there were updated instructions for 2010.

    Thank You
