I recently replaced my CD-ROM with a CD-RW. Now that the cd-rom is gone, can I install a Zip Drive (250 mb) in its place? The wire connections are still there.
    Thanks

I don't see why not. As long as you have a bracket to center the zip drive in the larger bay it will work just fine.

    Thanks Hex92 for your input.
Now to Sal_gal: How do I make the Bios recognize the newly installed Zip Drive? Here is what I have on my Main Circuit Board
    PCCHIPS M748MR 1.0
    Bus Clock: 66 megahertz
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. 62710 07/15/97

Try "autodetect ide devices" in BIOS setup.
I won't recommend it if you have some VERY old HDD.
