i've been at school for three months so lord only knows what my mother does with this computer while I'm not here... but while returning for the holidays and using it - I've noticed that whenever I go to minimize or close out (using the line/box/x on top right) the window, instead of minimizing or closing - SLOWLY makes its way off the screen. Pans downward until it's disappeared.... also have noticed often times when it does this my desktop icons refresh... Any suggestions??

sorry -- should have also mentioned this only happens with IE windows, not normal desktop/programs

running Win98, IE6 (but just upgraded to it - the windows were doing it before I upgraded)

Sounds like yer Mama could've downloaded/installed a game/utility/etc. while you wuz gone. Have you checked to see what's runnin' in the background while yer on IE6? Could be a virus lurking if you haven't checked with yer AV software. Desktop icons jumpin' around (when programs close) sometimes mean screen resolutions were one thing with the current program and changed when you closed it. Might just be a bad install of IE if you downloaded/installed it online. Try ad/remove programs IE6 and select "fix" when the window pops up (instead of remove). Only other thing I can think of (right now) is maybe yer Mama's runnin' a (wireless?) networked link to her laptop an' playin' an online casino (with a wierd resolution) while yer online.
Has she come into a bunch of cash lately...or put a second mortgage on the house? (jus' kiddin')

In IE try Tools>Options>Advanced>Browsing and uncheck "Enable Page Transitions "?
