I have a new PC (HP Pavilion Slimline S5000 series) and it came with Word 2010. I have to say that I greatly prefer Word 2003 - it seems to take more steps to achieve the same ends on the new machine.

Anyway, I greatly miss small features such as the ability to resize text by changing from 100% to 75%; I can't find any link to that, and the A+/A- buttons really aren't sufficiently specific.

    Is there such a feature?

I only have Word 2007 and it has a tab called VIEW where I can see the "Zoom" feature.

There is a Zoom feature, but it only applies to what used to be "Print Preview ". What I was hoping for was the old drop-down menu that gave you a choice of actual type size on the page by allowing for reduction or enlargement by smaller, percentage, increments. Anyway, I've decided to go with 14-point although it does limit the amount of text on a page. But I'd still like to find the feature if it's there at all - just for curiosity, if for no other reason.

In Word 2007 - when I click on the Zoom button it allows me to zoom to 500% and it changes the page size just like Word 2003 does.

Yes, but does that enlarge or reduce the type on the actual page when printed?

Hmmmm...I wonder where the equivalent feature lies hidden in 2010.

I have Word 2010 and the feature I think you're wanting is the magnifying glass icon on the View toolbar.
