Installing EasyTether Lite On Win7

    I've got a HTC Evo Shift, and I'm trying to install EasyTether 64Bit on my Win7 laptop. I downloaded the msi installer, but it keeps telling me that "the installer cannot be opened." The AndroidMarket site offers no help. I can't even find a place to post my question. That's why I'm coming here. So, moderator, sorry if I've misplaced this post, but this seemed a logical place. Can ANYONE point me in the right direction?:confused:

    Guessing that your Win7 is 64bit...

    Have you tried right clicking on it and select Run as Admin?

    Have you tried downloading a second time?

    Might even try downloading to a different pc and then copy the file over.

    I've already tried PdaNet, thought it was free, but it was only free for about 15 days. That's why I was trying to install EasyTether, because even the full version is only 1/2 what PdaNet is. I've tried running in Admin mode, I've also applied the Take Ownership util with no success. Apparently, the advantage with EasyTether is that it doesn't require the root. Not sure what that means, though. Evidently, it doesn't like the msi file extension.
