Hello, do you think it would be easier to Uninstall my Printer which shows its my default printer. I really don't see any software for my printer under Programs. I have Win 7. I guess I just go to Devices and Printers and "Delete" it or "Remove" it. Then I will unplug the USB cable from the Printer end and install the software (Disc) and follow directions.

    Thank You,
    ~Paul

    I'm not understanding your problem.
You normally don't. Printers are hardware devices and so typically just need drivers, and depending on your version of Windows, and the printer model, Windows may already have them.

You only need software for your printer to support extra features.

Please describe your problem and what you are trying to do.

Sorry Bill, I meant I wasn't able to see my Printers Software in the Programs section of W-7. I thought that would tell me if the printer was totally installed. See I was trying to help Bro In-law get Printer to work. (HP Photosmart c4480) We found out that the USB cable was unplugged at the PC Tower. So when we undid the USB cable at the back of Printer there was no connection between PC & Printer. All fixed now, sorry & thanks for your time.
