Resolved SBS 2003 Remote Webmail issues

Hello:
I am new to this forum, so I hope you'll forgive me if this has been discussed in past threads. We are using SBS2003. We are experiencing instability in remote email access functionality. I've checked to ensure that Exchange Services are up and running. In addition, and at the same time as this problem, our Sharepoint services stop working. Even though all related services have been restarted and are running, I cannot get on to our Sharepoint site. Our IT guy has fixed this once or twice and we go for awile with no issues, and then suddenly both remote email and sharepoint are down. This often occurs over a weekend. I am asking for assistance on what steps I can take to restore these services. My IT guy is no longer available, and so I am trying to resolve these issues solo. I am the server administrator, but am not an expert on this by any means. If anyone can give me some steps to try, I would be most grateful.

Do you have any logs, any error messages in the system logs?

Thanks for your reply. I discovered that World Wide Web publishing service has had issues and that service was at the core this issue.
