resizing application window

I have Win/7 I have some applications in my notification area they suppose to be fix size, but when i re-start (reboot) windows, and clic on the applications icons, sometimes the applications open in regular size sometimes they open half the size. How to get those applications to open only in regular size?

 

I've found that if I use Aero Snap, the programs will reopen maximized. Not sure if this will happen in your case, but you never know unless you try: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Maximize-windows-on-the-desktop-using-Snap
