    Hi,
I cannot move items from my Exchange mailbox into my pst file, I just get the following message. "Cannot move the items. The item cannot be moved. It was either already moved or deleted, or access was denied. "
The pst is only 400mb and is stored in a folder I have full access to.

    I'm running windows xp sp2

    Action taken by me

1 Created new pst file but still giving same error
2 created new outlook profile and also windows profile but still same problem occurs
3 Formatted c drive but still giving same error message

How are you moving these items?

AFAIK you'll need to use software such as ExMerge to Export the Exchange box to your PST file.

I suggest you re-read my reply. You didn't answer HOW you are moving the items.

Also, as I said, I don't think you can just move the items but have to export them.

    Hi Arie,

I am not using any software for moving items to my pst file. I will tell you the steps how i am doing this.

1 I have configured Exchange mailbox on my system

    2 Created new pst file

3 Now i am moving or exporting the mails stored on my exchange mailbox to my pst file, while doing this it is giving error message which i have already mentioned in my thread.

    I hope this will clear

Make sure that you have the correct user permissions on the new PST. You may have to exit out of Outlook and physically navigate to the location of the new PST to verify the permissions. What version of MS Office are you using?

Drag-and-drop e-mail to the new PST folder or using the Archive feature? (Or both?)
