I use Outlook 2003 but I have a wee problem when fowarding e-mails to others.....

When I decide to FORWARD to others and click onto the Send / Receive button, the ribbon on the bottom right hand side says it is complete even though it has NOT been sent.

Currently the way I get around this problem is to drop the message, say into "junk mail" and then click send so as to place into the outbox once again and then click send /recieve once again and then it is sent.

Any ideas as to why this should happen and how may I overcome this problem.

    Only serious suggestions please!!

Does this happen with any or all emails?
Do you get any sort of error message when you try to forward?

Steve, this only happens when I forward e-mails to many or just one.

I do not get any error message and as I stated in my post it just shows completed.

How large is the PST file?

If your pst file is close to 2gigs in size AND it was upgraded from an earlier version - that can and will cause all sorts of weird problems.

The PST file is the file that holds all of your emails/contacts/calendar entries.

    In XP - it is located here: C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

    Thank you for your response.

    You suggested C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Unfortunately I can only get as far as my name and do not have Local Settings shown after my name. All that I have shown is Desktop, Favourites, My Documents, Start Menu amd Start Windows.

Where do I go from here?

You need to enable 'Show hidden files & folders .....

Tools > Folder Options > View and check 'Show hidden files & folders'.

I followed PeteC suggestions and was able to locate the files/folders suggested.

The datfile was 1kb and the outlook office data file was 21,841kb.

Does that help you any more

You need to find the PST file... By default - it will generally be called Outlook.pst .
