    Windows Explorer

When in the Windows Explorer, and choose a file or folder at the top of list, which is at the top of window, it moves to the bottom of the window, where the remaining file is out of sight. Is there a fix to have it stay or move to the top of the window?

This was asked a few weeks ago, for which I received no assistance. I have to take responsibility for an unclear question. Here goes my second attempt:

When in Windows Explorer, and click to open a directory, most of the time the list moves down and the files move to the bottom of the window, where the files are out of sight. This is not a critical problem, however it is quite annoying. Is there a fix to have the directory move to the top of the window, or at least not move?

That sounds like normal behaviour, can you not scroll down the page to bring the files into view?

Please correct me if I have misunderstood, is this something that has recently changed or has it always been like this?

I sincerely apologize for my unclear question. Third try.

When I use Windows 7 pro 64 Explorer 8 and click on the expander triangle on the left of the list of folders, the list moves to the bottom and expansion occurs there. This makes no sense because, then I must scroll down to see the folders I want to view. If it were logical or user friendly, it would at least stay where it is or better go to the top of the list. Is there a fix or am I missing something?

How long would you guess until IE9 comes out of beta?

You started this thread with ....
and now you are talking of Internet Explorer 8 and the future availibility of IE9 RTM which as I see it, has nothing to do with your problem in Windows Explorer.

From your last post I understand that when you click to expand a folder in the left hand pane of Windows Explorer instead of the sub folders displaynig directly below the folder you opened, which should stay in it's original place, everything moves to the bottom of the window. Is that correct? Screenshots.

I suggest you download Shellexview and disable all third party extensions and see if that resolves the issue. If it does re-enable one by one, testing in between each until the culprit is found.
