Clcik Start and type event into the search box, Event Viewer will appear in the box above, click on Event Viewer to open it.

Look under Applications and Services Logs and see if there are any errors around the time of the last burning error.

I ran the same software on another machine and notice that the read speed for the machine was significantly faster than on the one that's giving the error.

Check the specification of the burner and see if it is any different to the one in your PC, you may find it has a faster read speed. Was this comparison done with an identical disc?

Did you follow my suggestion in post 21 as this may shine some light on the problem.

What version of Nero do you have and is it genuine?

What is it that you are trying to copy, pre recorded DVD's, games, data, etc?

Did you do a fresh install of Nero after changing your OS to windows 7?

Have you set the jumper on the new DVD burner correctly?

What else is connected to the IDE cable going to the burner?

If your purchase of Nero 10 was less than a year ago you can get support from Nero by sending them the error logs. These logs are stored somewhere but I have not been able to find out where.
