Download speed, with roadrunner turbo, is 15 to 20 mbps. Roadrunner technician stated, "this is all I shall expect "? Should I be satisfied with this performance. Please advise. Thanks for your time.

Hi Lis. 15-20 Mbps is a pretty decent Internet Speed. I probably would be satisfied with the performance of downloading data. Who is your ISP and what Internet Speed are you paying for? If you are paying for a download speed of 10 Mbps for example then you are getting a good deal.

I bet that if you run a speed test every 3 or 4 hours, you will find the best times are after all the kids are in school and everybody is at work. Then about 3 or so when the kids get home it will drop off. Then when mom and dad get home it will even drop off more. Get back on after 9 or so till about 6 in the morning and you will probably have the best speed. The only way that this would be different is if there were just a very few people on your leg back to TW. DSL may not have the speed of cable, but it is always the same. I have tested mine for every hour of the day. I have 3.0 and it wll not drop below. 2.95 any time. Usually it is right at 2.9 all the time.

Just did a test from Baker, Fl. to Pensacola, Fl. and got 3.0 several times. Then did one to NZ and averaged 2.95.

I've always gotten good service from Time Warner aka Roadrunner.

    Here's my favorite test site:

FWIW I subscribe to a 20mb/s (cable) service here in the UK and rarely see speed tests drop below 15mb/s most often they're at 18mb/s or higher. However, my ISP's lowest tarrifs start at 10mb/s going up to 100mb/s so I guess their network can easily handle my humble requirements.

As others have said, a lot would depend on what speed you're subscribing to, time of use and type of connection (copper was never meant for digital comms).

    Appreciate all the replies. Thanks.

http://speedtest.texas.rr.com provides 21.87 mbps down and 1.92 mbps up.
This performance is considered more that satisfactory.

Shall I say, "case resolved ". Yes.
