Why does Windows keep telling me my updated version of AVG Security 2011 is out of date?

 

Sounds like your virus definitions haven't been updated for a while. If it's been a while since you've updated them, now's the time.

 

Thanks, but that's not it. As I said, I get the message that my AVG is out of date after I've updated it.

 

Is the date and time on the PC right. This will cause that problem. Not only with AVG, but with other programs also.

That was the answer. I had just recently reinstalled Windows and I had put the wrong date in. I corrected it and it fixed the problem

 

You need to watch the date and time. If it don't keep it right. You may have a bad CMOS battery. Easy fix for about 3 or 4 bucks if it is.
