I have 2 computers, on my home network.
The older one has WinXP O/S and the new one has Win7 O/S.
The XP one uses the programme called "Windows Live Mail ", the Win 7 one uses Windows Live Mail 2001. Both are similar but at the same time , different beasts to use.
I have 2 questions. I have already been able to export/ import the addresses into the new pc using Windows Live Mail 2001. Can anyone tell me how to export the existing mail folders from the Xp and import them to the Win 7 computer?
The second question is this. The older mail version (XP) has an options area where I can tell it to go to the in box and automatically open the mail on startup.I can also programme it to empty messages from the deleted folder on exit. (these options seem to have been transferred across automatically from the old Outlook Express programme which i still have loaded.
The newer Win7 version of mail does not seem to have any are where I can programme changes. There is an area labeled tools, but it does not open anything.
I would appreciate any assistance on these matters. Thank you in advance

Please don't double post, also marking your thread resolved when it obviously hasn't been does not help anyone.

A little patience is required Jerry, I'm sure someone will help when they have time.
