No Tray in Windows Explorer 8

Using windows Exploorer 8 with Windows Vista O/S.
Tray at bottom of screen is no longer visible in Explorer. It is visible in E-mail program and in Desktop. This occurred 2 days ago when i turned on. Have tried various "View options" but so far unable to retrieve the tray.

I take it that you've right-clicked on the Taskbar | Properties and checked "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows "?

 

Hi jp, Yes, Have done this. The option "Keep taskbar on top of other windows" is CHECKED.
Another change in the explorer window is: The other taskbars at top of screen, such as the website address line at very top and 2 more below that, are not visible until the mouse is moved up to that area at very top of screen, then they become visible.

Have you set Explorer to "Full Screen "? Toggle the F11 key and see if the screen changes and your toolbars etc. return.

You're welcome. Easy to accidentally hit the F11 key and put IE into full screen mode. Glad your problem is fixed.
