Hi, i did that, when the prompt opens it has: C:\WINDOWS\Desktop>
I copied and pasted and when i hit enter it just shows the same: C:\WINDOWS\Desktop>
I noticed some spaces in the command you posted so i tried to remove them and then it said: File creation error and dropped down and again the same: C:\WINDOWS\Desktop>
so what do i do now?? thanks again, jerry

Yeah, it's been a while since I was dealing with Windows ME...

    Try this...
At command prompt type in just this:
    ipconfig /all
    Press Enter.

    Are you getting any output?

Are you opening command window first, by going Start>Run and typing command and pressing Enter?

    This looks very strange.
It looks like you don't have any connection, but I assume, you do....hmmmm.

    Turn the computer off.

On your router, you'll find a pinhole marked "Reset ".
Keep pushing the hole, using a pencil, or a paperclip until all lights briefly come off and on.
NOTE. Simple router disconnecting from a power source will NOT do.
Restart computer and check for redirections.

NOTE. You may need to re-check your router security settings, as described HERE

Now, it looks fine, but....unfortunately, I won't be able to help you.
There are no tools, no online scanners, which would work with Windows ME.
    It's really outdated system.
The only tool, I can use, HJT, shows nothing suspicious.

    I'm sorry :(
