Outlook 2000 not working

Upgraded laptop from 2000 to xp pro, updated services packs and drivers. When opening outlook 2000, the inbox cannot be opened. The inbox is marked for offline use and is synched. Deleting the profile and re-creating the profile does nothing. I can verify that I can contact the exchange server by pinging the server as well as resolving the profile name when creating the profile.

Any help would be appreciated.......

You'll need the Outlook installation CD.
