lost emails when i changed my website host

    i will try keep this simple.. im not very good with computers but basically i use thunderbird for my own websites email eg....(me@mysite.com) I changed the host onto a dedicated server and now all my old email is gone? it only shows new email..... i found a hidden folder on my computer called "mail.mysite.com" in the folder it looks like this could be all my old email as inbox is 3,774kb, drafts 5k and so on (cant find one for sent mail though?) how do i open these files to read my old email? please please please help me

    The name of the files (particularly the extension) would be useful...

    Where, on your hard drive, are the so-called files located?
